Dance is the hidden language of the soul.
Gabriella Roth.
Are you someone who loves the idea of dancing but feels held back by fear of judgement, self-consciousness, or discomfort or disconnect in your own body?
Dance and movement are intrinsic in our nature, and have been woven into our beings since the beginning of time. It is a sacred form of expression of the human spirit, but has been lost and suppressed through the ages.
In today’s fast-paced society, we’re often pressured to conform to rigid standards of behaviour, appearance, and success, leading many of us to lose touch with the natural joy in expression through our own bodies.
Social conditioning teaches us to be self-conscious, afraid of judgment, and overly concerned with how we look rather than how we feel. These pressures make us shy away from freely expressing ourselves through movement, suppressing our innate connection to dance—a connection that, throughout history, has been a source of community, healing, and personal liberation. It's time to reclaim that freedom and rediscover the joy that dance brings.
Come dance with us—move however your body wants to move, connect with your inner self, and discover the pure bliss that comes from dancing freely, just as you are.

Hi, I am your host Danielle…
DJ | SOMATIC EDUCATOR | LIFECOACH
I danced before I walked (so my mum told me!)
I have always had a passion for dance and went on to study dance at collage. Whilst I enjoyed dance, I really struggled with being told ‘how to move’ and ‘how to look’. For me, it took the rawness of expression out of the art of dance and only increased my anxiety and self-esteem issues.
I rediscovered my love for dance with an ecstatic dance event not long after I had my son and it was an extremely powerful experience. I re-lived the traumatic experience of childbirth through expressive movement and totally re-wired my perspective of the experience. After this I looked back on my birth story as powerful, intense and exactly how it was supposed to be.
This transformative experience led me to do courses in somatic and tantric healing, jungian theory life-coaching and train as an ecstatic dance DJ.
This combination of knowledge through these different modalities has curated a skillset in me that can facilitate women in such a deep and transformative way through focusing on the body with a somatic and tantric approach. My intentions are to facilitate classes and workshops that help us to become closer to our own innate joy and pleasure and sink deeper in to our feminine nature, re-connecting to the knowing that we simply are enough.

Yes. Almost all women come alone and we always have more than one women that is a beginner of ecstati dance. It can feel daunting at first with anticipation, but many women return and I see people blossom everytime and come out of themselves more with every dance.

Some people feel apprehensive at first before we begin the dance (that is very normal!) but after the welcoming people begin to relax as it's very clear that it is a non-judgemental space. Women are encouraged to let go and fully express themselves if they want too. Some women get emotional and express tears or sadness, some people scream and shout to our climactic songs that encourage this sort of expression. It is unique to each women, but there is this deeper unity and connectedness with all of the women present.

Ecstatic dance is a fun and liberating way to heal. It can be deep and profound or light hearted, fun and silly. Dance is a great way to stimulate good endorphine's. Often self-discovery and healing work can feel weighted, heavy and serious and trap us in our heads as we ponder life's big questions. Whilst ecstatic dance focuses on presence with the body, we can shift stored emotion in a way that is enjoyable. With dance we touch base with our child-like nature through intuitive movement that can feel freeing and up-lifting.

After the arrival we will usually sit in circle and I will go through some house rules (such as no talking on the dance floor, toilet locations etc...). I then prep everyone with an overview and words of encouragement to help put people at ease. After the welcoming we will begin the dance with some gentle embodiment practices that help you to softly enter the dance. The dance can range from 45-90 minutes depending on the type of event. Throughout the dance there will be a range of different tempo's, melodies and genre's that flow into one and other. The intention of the dances are to help encourage the flow of expression and emotion. Everyone will have a tempo or style of song that they connect more to than others. After the dane we then will either come back to circle or end with some gentle re-balancing breathwork.
